Our Story
I'm Anne Elizabeth Moore.
I’m a writer, former journalist, and hot saucier.
I’ve snuck into garment factories in Southeast Asia and run from the machine gun fire of military police. I was detained, once, by cops, at of all places an American Girl doll store. I almost died of cholera in Nicaragua and got kidnapped in the Republic of Georgia. (It was fine.)
I’ve eaten a lot of great food on these adventures, and when I started making hot sauce fifteen years ago after a meeting with a reasonably famous rapper that kinda turned out to be a date, I started exploring all the ways to make food as exciting as life.

Tinkertown Provisions
Hot sauce from the Western Catskills since 2023.
Our hot sauces explore the exciting tastes, harmony, and diversity of rural, upstate New York—and are inspired by the whole world. Alongside a community of farmers, makers, neighbors, and eaters, we make condiments to bring vitality to all your meals. With a focus on organic ingredients, and an array of tastes for an even wider array of palettes, we make food accessible, avoiding major allergens and labelling minor ones. Every bite will remind you how exciting life can be.

A lot of hot sauce makes you feel like a badass. We make hot sauces for people who are badasses.
